Robert J. Asselborn, 74, of Aurora, passed away Monday, February 11, 2002 at his home. He was born on April 20, 1927 in Aurora, the son of the late Ralph and Ruth Asselborn.
He is survived by his son Frank (Jayme) Asselborn of Aurora; his grandchildren Stephanie, Daniel and Dustin all of Aurora; three sisters, Elaine, Pat and Nancy.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Mary. They were married for 47 years. Also a daughter, Nola Geraldine; his parents; one sister Beverly and one uncle Bronk.
Robert was an active member of the Third Ward, Eastside, Tiger and Luxie's Clubs. His wishes were to be cremated with no services or visitation. He enjoyed having a beer with his friends. He would have preferred his friends get together privately to remember him, as he would want to be remembered.
Arrangements were handled by The Healy Chapel. 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora.
