LUCILLE MARTIN KOESTER

WESLACO - Lucille Martin Koester, 88, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 1995, at John Knox Village Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

She came to the Rio Grande Valley with her family in 1921. She married Frank Koester and moved to Weslaco in 1925, where she became very active in community and school affairs in Weslaco. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and of the Delta Literary Club. She served as an adviser to Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; a daughter, Nell; and a son, Bobby.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be M.F. "Red" Conner, Michael D. Conner, Arthur S. Pike, Jr., Arthur Eden Beckwith, J.R. "Rick" Braught, Allen Mier, Richard Lehman, and Tommy Leavell.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1995. at McCaleb Funeral Home with burial following at Weslaco City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McCaleb Funeral Home of Weslaco.
