Donald F. Wisniewski, known as "Duck" Wisniewski, 79, of Alpena, Michigan, passed away at home on Friday, January 7, 2011.

Donald was born in Detroit on October 13, 1931 to the late Frank Wisniewski and Catherine (Zmyslony) Wisniewski and raised by his sister and her husband, the late Martha "Martz" and James McDonald. Donald served in the Air Force from 1950-1954 and later was employed as a claims adjuster with Alpena Agency, retiring this past November after 47 years.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, American Legion 65, and enjoyed playing Keno at Joe's Bar, going to the Brimley Casino, and his Thursday night "Coaches Corner." He also enjoyed golf and ice fishing.

Surviving were his daughter, Taleen and Marshall Jackson of Shepherd; granddaughter, Stephanie Jackson; step-daughter, Dawn Cobb; step-grandsons, Zakary and Alek Cobb; sister, Helen Kreft of Alpena; several nieces including Peggy (Moe) Pardike, nephews and the Boys of Coaches Corner.

Preceding him in death were a son, Jeff "JJ" Wisniewski, 5 brothers, Anthony, Victor, Peter, Philip, Joseph; and 3 sisters, Martha McDonald, Veronica Zamenski, and Anna Blaski.
