Mr Farruggia was born in Brooklyn on Nov 9, 1939 to James and Edna Farruggia. He formerly worked as a budget manager of Grumman Aerospace in Calverton.
He is survived by his wife Victoria; and two sisters, Frances Conklin of Riverhead and Elsie Farruggia of California.
Visiting hours took place at the Reginald H Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead on Wednesday, and are scheduled again today (Thursday, Oct 30) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place there on Friday Oct 31 at 10 am. Interment will be in Calverton National Cemetery.
