She was born on December 21, 1925, on a farm north of Baileyville, KS, the daughter of Bernard and Fredericka Knipper Kreutzman. She attended Sacred Heart School at Baileyville. Margaret helped her parents on the farm, and continued to live there until she married Joseph Haverkamp on May 14, 1952; he preceded her in death on June 18, 1991.She was part of the farm and the dairy operation and cared for Joe's parents in the home.
While she lived in Kelly she taught CCD for the church. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and visiting with family and friends, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Bede's Catholic Church in Kelly.
Survivors are her children, Karen (Richard) Hynek of Seneca, Joseph (Ronda) Haverkamp of Silver Lake and Loren (Shelly) Haverkamp of Holton; her sister Cecelia Holle of Marysville; a sister-in-law Alma Holthaus of Centralia; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Dylan M. Hynek on March 18, 2005; and by five brothers, Ben, John, Frank, Albert, and Joe Kreutzman and three sisters, Sr. Mary Verona and Agnes Kopp.
Rosaries will be 2 and 7 pm on Monday, January 10, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am at St. Bede's Catholic Church in Kelly on Tuesday, January 11. Burial will be at St. Bede's Catholic Cemetery.
