Susannah Sabina Gausz was married first to a Johan Cristoph Wild. On the ship coming to America, Mr. Wild died of sickness. Also on that ship was Johannes Kocher's first wife & children. Mrs. Kocher also died on the passage. Johannes Kocher & Susannah were married after her arrival in the U.S.
One of Johannes Kocher's sons, John, married one of Susannah's daughters, Frederika.
St. Paul's Lutheran Church records list Susannah's place of birth as Inzeibingen bei Waifingen a.d. Ens. 'Kocher Kinsmen' says Susannah's family was from Voingen, Wurttemburg, which must be Enzweihingen b. Vaihingen an der Enz, in the district of Ludwisburg.
