Davenport - Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Benjamin J. Reyna, a resident of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2005, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service offered. Mr. Reyna died unexpectedly on Monday, December 5, 2005, at Genesis Medical Center East Campus following a sudden illness.

Benjamin Joseph Reyna was born June 4, 1939, in Davenport, a son of William B. and Mary N. (Garnica) Reyna. He was united in marriage to Diane Wagner. He later was united in marriage to Elke Hauser in Davenport.

He retired from Sivyer Steel, Bettendorf. He then worked for the Davenport Community School District. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was proud to have served his country. Memorials can be made to the family.

Survivors include Elke; and children from his marriage to Diane, Tammy, Angela and Dean; and children from his marriage to Elke, Michael (Rebecca), Michelle, Corey (Chip), Christa, Lisa, Benji and Anthony; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Reimers and Ramona (Leonard) Hayes; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, a grandson, Kevin, and a niece, Becky, preceded him in death. May they rest in peace.
