"Hubert J. Hausmann, 84, passed away on the 14th of January, 2011. Hubert was born in LaGrange, Texas, on the 30th of October, 1926, to August and Olga Hausmann. Hubert served in the Navy toward the end of World War II and later attended the University of Texas. He worked as an Administrator at the Texas Highway Department for 39 years. He married Rose on April 1, 1951 in Austin. He loved dancing with his partner and wife of 58 years, Rose. He enjoyed working on his property in LaGrange.
Hubert was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, on April 21, 2009, his siblings, George Hausmann, Bernice Herzog, and Ella Barnes.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Hausmann and her partner Dorsey Barger of Austin, his son Stephan Hausmann of Austin, Several Nieces and Nephews, and special cousins Mark and Joan Hausmann of Austin...."
