META "METTIE" REMY KISSANE was the daughter of Wilhelm and Pauline Heuzeroth Remy of Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio.
Mettie was married to Richard Persifer "Dick" Kissane on December 25, 1893. They were the parents of three children, Dr. Ray W. Kissane, Ruth A. Kissane who married Miles Hines and Alice E. Kissane.
Mettie was a member of the Miriam Rebekah Lodge and was elected as the "Vice Grand" in 1909. She was also a member of the Ruth Chapter, No. 17 and Order of the Eastern Star.
She died on July 27, 1916 of a "paralytic stroke and failing health directly caused by heart trouble." and was buried in the Mansfield Cemetery.
