Elvira Bell Tennison was born in the middle of the 12 children born to Sylvester Hardy and Lillie Mae (Reese) Tennison.
Elvira attended school to the 5th grade; she and all her siblings spent most of their time working on the family farm as did most children during those days.
She married Lester "Buzz" Conner when she was sixteen years old.
Elvira was a short, small woman that was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed having her children with her. When they were grown she bragged on them a lot and never had anything bad to say about them or their spouses.
She loved to cook for her family. She put meals that could feed twenty people on the table from her small kitchen three times a day everyday as long as there were people there to enjoy them.
She never seemed to tire with taking care of children; especially her own grandchildren. She loved music and like to sing along with the songs being played on the radio.
Elvira "Ma Conner" was cherrished by her family and is greatly missed.
