Kenneth Virgil Hickman, 68, of Rushville, Indiana, and formally of Petoskey, Michigan, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville.
Ken was born September 15, 1942, in Petoskey, the son of John and Evelyn (Koteskey) Hickman and grew up in Petoskey, graduating from Petoskey High School in 1961.
Ken married Judy K. Kern on August 22, 1964 and is survived by her and their three sons: Kenneth "Ron", who is married to Amy (Freeland); Daryl, who is married to Deidre (Rock); and Roy, who is married to Karin (Venohr). All of whom currently reside in the "thumb" area of Michigan.
Ken married Diana L. Norcross on May 8, 1976 and is survived by her and their daughter Tammy, who is married to Christopher Liss and currently resides near Traverse City.
Also surviving are eight grand children (Adeline, Alexis, Amanda, Amber, Diego, Kristi, Thea, and Sierra), one great grandchild (Addalyne), two nieces (Nikki and Lindsay), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother, Evelyn, and sister, Marilyn (Keith) Danforth.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 22 at 1:00 PM at the Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey presided by Pastor Richard Vance.
