Mrs. Edgar Stueber, 67, the former Pearl Frei, who lived at Little Green Lake, (Markesan R.2) died at Ripon Municipal Hospital early today after an illness of two months.
Born June 11, 1899, she was the daughter of John H. and Augusta Ott Frei. She was educated at Wisconsin State University-Oshkosh, was a school teacher for 22 years and had lived in Green Lake County since 1930. She was married Sept.24, 1930, to Edgar Stueber. She was a member of the Columbian Women’s Club, Markesan, of the Gardenette, and was chairman of the church flower committee at the Markesan Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Mrs. Stueber is survived by her widower; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Korth and Mrs. Elsa Kubehl, both of Fair Water, Mrs. Edna Lamonska, Markesan, and Mrs. Dorothea Polack, Watertown, and four brothers, John Frei, Fair Water, Albert Frei, Markesan, Oliver Frei, Iowa City, Iowa, and Venon Frei, Horicon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Butzin Funeral Home, Ripon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Stueber, who died Monday, were held at 2 p.m. today at the Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church, Markesan, Rev. Donald E. Sumwalt officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Frei, Kenneth Lamonska, David Frei, Merle Banville, David Pollok and Paul Schultz.
