P.A. BRIESE DIES AT 63; SERVICE SET
Paul Albert Briese, 63, of Fairwater, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday while at work near Green Lake.
Born June 5, 1907, in the Town of Harris, Marquette County, he was the son of August and Emma Brose Briese. He was baptized and confirmed in the Harrisville Lutheran Church.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Kopplin & Kinas Construction Co., Green Lake. During World War II he served in the Seabees in the South Pacific.
Mr. Briese is survived by his widow, Gertrude; three sons, Kenneth in Germany, Lawrence in Illinois and Ronald at home; five stepsons, Leonard and James of California, Mrs. Earl Beek of Brandon, Mrs. Judith Robinson of California and Irwin of Fond du Lac; 16 grandchildren; four brothers, William and Edward of Montello, Walter of Ripon and Arthur of Arizona, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Wagner of Montello.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairwater, the Rev. Eugene Baisden officiating. Burial will be in the Fairwater Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Norris Funeral Home, Brandon, and from 11 until the time of service at the church in Fairwater.
