But Mrs. W. L. Younkin Will Be Cherished Long in Remembrance

Mrs. William L Younkin passed peacefully away last Sunday shortly after 3 p. m. at her home three miles west of Kingwood in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, aged 67 years and 3 days, following an illness of a complication of ailments over a period of seven years.

She was a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Kreger) Nichalo, who resided in the historic Jersey settlement in Lower Turkeyfoot Township.

Her father, who was an estimable citizen, preceeded her to the grave fifteen years ago. Her mother, a highly esteemed woman, at an advanced age, survives.

Mrs. Younkin was a devoted wife and mother, a helpful neighbor, and a life-long, consistent member of Old Bethel congregation of the Church of God in Upper Turkeyfoot Township.

Surviving Mrs. Younkin are her husband and the following children: Mr. Harvey C Younkin, of Rockwood; Mrs. William Trimpey, Mr. Charles M Younkin and Mr. Frank Younkin, all of Upper Turkeyfoot Township, and Mrs. Amelia Friend, of Friendsville, Md.

Brothers and sisters surviving are these: Mr. Calvin Nichalo and Mrs. Joseph Nichalo, both of Lower Turkeyfoot Township; Mrs. Emerson Younkin, of Confluence; Mrs. Viola Faidley, of Lavansville, and Mrs. George Jones, of Ivyland, Bucks County, Pa.

Mrs. Younkin leaves also twenty four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Six of her grandchildren served as pall bearers. There were Messrs. Alvin Trimpey, Harry Trimpey, Edward Trimpey, Kenneth Younkin, Edward Younking and James Younkin.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from Old Bethel Church of God, the Rev. E. I. Tantlinger, pastor of the departed, having officiated. Interment was subsequently made in the cemetery of that church by Funeral Directors Mills & Mickey of Rockwood.
