LaVerne M. Reffke, 89 of 702 Bruce Street, Fond du Lac, died Sunday, October 1, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born the daughter of John and Adeline Rossey in Shawano on August 17, 1917. On February 29, 1932 LaVerne married Leo "Buster" Reffke in Menomonie, Michigan and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1991. She was a founding member, volunteer and serviced on the board of directors for the ARC, Brooke Industry and Residential Services. LaVerne was a member of Holy Family – St. Joseph's Parish and the Catholic Women Rosary Society. She enjoyed her poodle puppies, gardening, sewing, baking and bird watching.

SURVIVORS: two sons, Gary Reffke and Glen Michael (Kathy) Reffke, both of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Gregory, Christine, Jamie and Joleen; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Gene (Marge) Rossey, Plymouth and Joe Rossey, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Gale Reffke, infant son Leo Jr. and one sister, Shirley.


Funeral Information
FUNERAL SERVICE: will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Holy Family – Sacred Heart Parish with Rev. Patrick Heppe officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the church with Rev. Patrick Heppe officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Risen Christ Mausoleum.
