Mrs. Mary Vollmar Of Fairview Dies in Hospital Here.
Fairview, Ill., July 9--(Special)
Mrs. Mary Maria Vollmar, widow of the late Jacob Vollmar of Fairview, died early this morning at the Graham hospital in Canton, following an operation Wednesday.

She was born Jan. 2 1875 in Platte Center, Neb., a daughter of George and Maria (Burrows) Thomazin. She was married to Jacob Vollmar Dec. 20, 1893, in Nebraska, and following eight years of residence in that state they moved to near Fairview where they started farming.

Following her husband's death May 25, 1933, Mrs. Vollmar moved to Fairview. She had been a member of the Fairview Reformed church since June 6, 1906. Surviving children and [sic] Mrs. Anna Tolley of Avon, Mrs. Nannie Negley, Mrs. Erma Knickerbocker, George and Howard Vollmar all of Fairview, and Harry Vollmar of Table Grove. Three other children died in infancy, and a fourth, Mrs. Edith Postin, died Nov. 8, 1939.

Other survivors are her mother of St. Edwards, Neb.; four brothers, George and Thomas Thomazin of St. Edwards, Robert Thomazin of Grinnell, Iowa, and James Thomazin of Seneca, Mo.; two sisters, Miss Ethel Thomazin of St. Edwards and Mrs. Fannie Hoare of Seneca, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Reformed church, with the Rev. J. P. Winter, former church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Friends may call at the residence.
