Dorothy L. Henry, 75
EAST PALESTINE - Mrs. Dorothy L. Henry, 75, of 588 W. Main St., passed away at 6:53 a.m. Monday at the Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana where she had been a patient for the past 11 months.
Mrs. Henry was born June 7, 1932 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Gerald J. and Bertha Simon Klaus.
She had resided in the New Springfield area, and later in East Palestine for most of her life. Prior to becoming ill, she and her husband had spent the winter months in Bayonet Point, Fla. At one time, she and her husband had owned and operated the former Henry Furniture and Appliance in New Springfield. Dorothy had also sold real estate both in Ohio and Florida, and for fifteen years, she had operated Henry Realty in East Palestine.
She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Paul R. Henry, whom she married March 2, 1951; a daughter, Gaye Ann (Tim) Lindsay of New Waterford; a son Gregory J. (Cheryl) Henry of East Palestine; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, James G. Klaus, of St. Lucie, Fla., and a daughter-in-law, Patty Boyd, of East Palestine.
She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy P. Henry.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Rev. Donald and Pauline Stevenson of the Abundant Life Fellowship, New Waterford, officiating.
Burial will follow in New Springfield Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
