Virginia L. "Ginny" Scagnoli Klippel, 85, of Lafayette, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at her residence.

She was born May 14, 1925 in Logansport to the late Guiseppe and Marfina Morrocco Scagnoli. She married Ernest H. "Ernie" Klippel on June 1, 1943 in New York City. He died Dec. 24, 2006. She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are three sons, Michael Klippel (wife: Jeanie) of Terre Haute, Dan Klippel (wife: Peg) of Lafayette, and David Klippel of Frankfort; three sisters, Julia Baker, Edith Hildebrandt (husband: Alan), JoJo Moore (husband: Don) and a brother, Frank Scagnoli (wife: Kay), all of Logansport; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
