Barbara H. Kempton, 57 years, of Oswego, IL died Thursday, June 18, 2002 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora, IL after a courageous battle with leukemia.
    She was born July 15, 1944 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Leo J. and Helen C. (nee Zelinski) Rott.
    She was employed as a brazier at the Caterpillar's Aurora Plant since 9173. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, the Play it Again Sam's Chapter of Good Sam RV Club and a former member of the Yorkville Ladies of the Moose Lodge #2371.
    She is survived by her husband William R. Kempton; three sons: Robin, Todd and Gregory Kempton, all of Oswego, IL; a sister, Mary Alice Rott of Lisle, IL; and a brother, Richard (Dorothy Bricknell) Rott of Naperville, IL.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Walter G. Rott.
    Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002 at 10:00AM at the McKEOWN-DUNN FUNERAL HOME, LTD at 210 S. Madison St., in Oswego, IL with Rev. Michael Kempton officiating.
    Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2002 at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
    Memorials may be directed to the Leukemia Foundation in Barbara's memory.
    Burial will take place at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery in Naperville, IL.
