The youngest child and son (of three) born to John (b. 1902) and Florence Lillian "Flossie" (Bachmann) (b. 1908) Weigand in Queens, New York.

Robert served in the US Army for two years (Jan 1953-Jan 1955) during the Korean War conflict.

He was the second husband of Jean (Sciacca) Lombardo (b. 1925) whom he married at age 34 on August 1, 1967 on Long Island, NY. I believe it was Robert's only marriage. He was the stepfather of Rosemarie and Janet Lombardo. And step grandfather to Robert (b. 1967), Donna (b. 1973) and Peter (b. 1978) DeRosa.

Robert died at Rockville Centre, NY at age 48. Cause of death unknown. He was survived by his wife Jean, his mother, his sister Constance (Carl) Gallub and brother John Weigand. Also by his two step daughters and three step grandchildren. Also by nieces and nephews and other relatives.
