Robert W. Pflugradt, 72, resident of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, was born on May 18, 1906 in Leaf Valley Township, Douglas County, Minnesota. He was the son of August and Emelia Pflugradt.
Robert was married on September 5, 1934 to Edna Emelia Thun. After their marriage the couple farmed ten years at Parkers Prairie and five years at Eagle Bend. Robert then worked 15 years on a farm at Garfield and five years ago he retired to Parkers Prairie.
Robert passed away on Thursday, March 15, 1979, at the Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 18, 1979, 2:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. Rev. Karl F. Lassanske officiating. Survivors include 4 daughters and 3 sons: Mrs. Kermit (Elnora) Hohnwaldt, Garfield; Mrs. Don (Audriene) Warm, Silver Bay; Mrs. Reuben (JoAnn) Froemming, Maple Grove; Mrs. Elmer (Delores) Diercksen, Fergus Falls, Darold, Dennis and Donald all of Garfield. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; 2 sisters: Mrs. Albert (Emma) Ost, Fergus Falls and Mrs. Orrie (Elda) Thun, Parkers Prairie; 5 half sisters: Mrs. Omar (Helen) Griffin, Glenden, Minnesota; Mrs. Richard (Lilly) Hausman, Detroit Lakes; Mrs. Fred (Laverne) Hoppe, Parkers Prairie, Mrs. Gordon (Louella) Larson, Minneapolis and Mrs. George (Ilene) Grace, Sheldon, North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 sisters, one brother and 2 half sisters. Casket bearers were Marvin Hollatz, Richard Hausman, Arvid Hoppe, George Grage, Jr., Kerry Hohnwaldt and Randy Froemming. Arrangements were with the LaMere Funeral Home, Parkers Prairie, Minnesota.
