Passed away at the age of 93 on Sunday. She will be missed greatly by her family who loved her dearly. Violia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to nurturing and loving her family. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to all those she knew. Violia thoroughly enjoyed her life farming with her husband of 60 years, George, and sharing those special memories with her 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She always recalled fond memories of the childhood she shared with her parents and 3 brothers near Avoca, NE and then eloping at age 17 to begin a life-long love affair that produced 2 children, Alice and George, Jr. Violia was preceded in death by her husband George; her daughter Alice; her grandson Doug; brothers, Raymond, Sterling and Howard; and parents Frank and Kate Sand. She is survived by her son, George Wiles, Jr. and wife Betty, Omaha; grandchildren, Renee Wessels and husband Bruce Grogan, Omaha, Judy Dlouhy and husband Russ, Lincoln, Jim Wessels, Weeping Water, John Wes-sels and wife Stephenie, Weeping Water, Beth Stawniak and husband Bob, Plattsmouth, and Tammy Wiles and husband Donald Martin, Falls Church, VA; and 17 great grandchildren. Violia blessed this world with her grace, optimistic spirit and fun-loving sense of humor. She loved life and providing for others, whether it was cooking chicken and noodles, baking countless pies and cinnamon rolls, or tending to the "garden of all gardens." She gave endlessly of her self and her talents. Violia will be missed greatly and thought of often – her life lessons will be forever valued by her family.
