NORFOLK - Henry Moos, 96, died Jan. 26, 2009. Mr. Moos was born in Ulm, Germany, the son of the late Carl Moos and Hilda Hirsch Moos. He was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple and its Men's Club. Serving in many capacities, he retired from Fines Men's Shop after 30 years of loyal service.
Mr. Moos was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte W. Moos. Survivors include his sister, Elsie Hirsch of Virginia Beach; a nephew, Steven Hirsch and his wife Pamela of Suffolk; and a niece, Evelyn Schwimmer and her husband Jeff of San Diego.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the Religious Cultural Center at Beth Sholom Home, 6401 Auburn Drive, Virginia Beach, by Rabbi Rosalin Mandelberg and Cantor Jennifer Bern- Vogel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ohef Sholom Temple, 530 Raleigh Ave., Norfolk, VA 23507 or the Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia.
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
