Lynn Calvin Foster, 90, entered his heavenly home Saturday February 12, 2011 at his home in rural Delaware, Oklahoma.

Lynn Calvin Foster was born the son of Roy Thomas Foster and Eudora Page Foster on March 7, 1920 in Tuxedo, Oklahoma. He received his education in the Dewey and Highland Park Schools and spent a few years in Oklahoma City Schools.

Lynn was united in marriage with Edith Idonia Fortney on May 27, 1939 in Tuxedo, Oklahoma. He was inducted into the United States Army and served in 15 different European Countries during his service in WWII.

After his military service he returned home and took up his trade as a carpenter serving as an apprentice under Lonnie Hall and he worked for Orville Myers for many years before working for himself. Lynn was the foreman on the Pettigrove Ranch for many years and also raised animals on the family farm. He studied Animal Husbandry and was able to care for the many animals he worked with.

He will be dearly missed. Lynn is survived by his wife, Edith Idonia; eight children Winnie Anderson and husband Wesley of Arlington, Texas, Linda Travis and husband Gerry of Delaware, Roy Lynn Foster of Catoosa, Donna Foster of Nowata, Jimmie Foster and wife Rehta of Miami, LaDeana Johnston and husband Larry of Nowata, Stanley Foster of the home and Elaina Morrison and Mark Main of Nowata, sixteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild, two nieces, Carolyn Minor and husband Larry of Bartlesville, Debbie Herrmann and husband Gary of Canyon Lake, TX.

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eudora Foster, two children, Betty Sue Foster and LaVonna Foster, two sisters, Helen Grady and Betty Foster and a grandson Colt Foster.

Funeral Services for Lynn will be held on February 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Living Word Family Church with Rev Jim Winslow officiating. Interment will follow at Ball Cemetery.
