Born in Massachusetts, he was formerly of Virginia and a resident of Palermo, New Jersey for 22 years.
He was a Veteran of World War II where he served in the Pacific Theatre with the United States Marines. He worked as a Carpenter for the Pentagon in Washington, DC for 23 years before his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Church of the Resurrection in Marmora, New Jersey where he belonged to the Mature Adults Club.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mary R. Kosak (nee Musmeci), two children, Peter S. Kosak, Jr. and his wife Veronica, Mark R. Kosak and his wife Debra, four grandchildren, Matthew Kosak, Erica Kosak, Mari Kosak, Lisa Kosak, and a sister, Pat "Nellie" Wisniewski.
A Mass of Resurrection will be offered Friday morning from the Church of the Resurrection, 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, New Jersey. Burial in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
