GEORGE F. GRASSER
George F. Grasser, age 51, 1220 East Pearl Avenue, Hazel Park, died Wednesday of a heart attack. He was stricken and fell from a ladder while working on an awning at a grocery store at 1211 East Lincoln Avenue. He was the owner of the George Grasser and Sons Awning Company in Hazel Park.
Born Feb. 8, 1894 in Detroit, he had lived for 13 years in Hazel Park, where he was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, S/Sgt. George W., of the Second Air Force, Lincoln , Neb.; one daughter, at home; a grandson, Thomas of Lincoln, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Meiser and Louise Grasser, both of Detroit; and two brothers, Elmer and Fred of Detroit.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, in the William Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 West First Street. The Rev. William H. Bach of the First Baptist Church of Hazel Park will conduct the services. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
