Joseph L. Grasser, 77, of 2103 Wisconsin Ave., New Holstein, died Sunday morning at University Hospital, Madison. Born at Dacada on Oct. 2, 1891, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Grasser. On June 19, 1936 he married the former Lucille Stemper at Evanston, Ill. Mr. Grasser was a farmer and piano tuner for over 50 years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of the parish.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Nevin, Sheboygan; one grandson; five sisters, Mrs. Arthur Thomas of Belgium, Mrs. Robert Leider of Fredonia, Mrs. Georg Lanser of Port Washington, Mrs. Nick Heinen of Dacada, and Miss Nettie Grasser of Milwaukee. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
A requiem Mass will be offered at Holy Rosary Church, New Holstein, with the Rev. Hubert Nilles, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
