Rev. Allean "Mama Lambe" Nora Carrick Lambe, 86, of 1000 Sherwood Avenue, Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Randolph Hospice House.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Covenant Christian Church with the Rev. Lois Johnson and the Rev. Terry Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro.
A native of Davidson County, NC, Rev. Lambe was born August 24, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Milas and Flora Pierce Carrick, better known as "Pop and Mother". She was an Evangelist and attended Full Gospel Bible Church of God. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lambe was preceded in death by her husband, Clayborn G. Lambe, son, Jerry Ray Lambe, Sr., brother, Vernon Carrick, and sister, Alice Turner.
Rev. Lambe is survived by her daughters, Rachel Allred and husband, Johnny, of Franklinville, NC, Martha Morris and husband, B. J., of Fayetteville, NC, Elizabeth Charles and husband, Marcus, of Asheboro, NC, Rebecca Yow, of Asheboro, NC; sons, James Lamb and wife, Eileen, of Franklinville, NC, Eugene Lamb and wife, Eva, of Liberty, NC; sisters, Frances Anderson, Beulah Cooper, Hazel Caldwell, all of Randleman, NC; brother, Bryce Carrick and wife, Thelma, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Tim Allred, Janine Dhillon, Danny Allred, Sharon Allred, Lisa Jagodzinski, Tara Howard, Kathy Atkinson, Steven Lamb, Jonathan Lamb, Donna Cook, Christi Blake, Alex Charles, Ray Lambe, Kimberly Lambe, Michelle Driggers, Brian Lambe, Chris Lamb, Thomas Matthew Lamb, Tracey Yow, Tonya Williford, Joey Fox; 40 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm Monday, February 14, 2011, at the home of Rebecca Yow, 1676 Southwood Drive, Asheboro, NC, and from 6:00 – 9:00 pm Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home.
