Thomas C. Yoakum, Civil War Veteran, died at 8:30 o'clock Thursday night at his home near Salisbury. Mr. Yoakum was 89 years, 5 months and 16 days old.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maud Miller; two grand daughters, Mrs. Edna Lasey and Miss Mabel Miller; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Christian church in Salisbury. Rev. LaVerne Taylor will officiate. Interment will be made in Salisbury cemetery.
The decedent was a member of Sangamon Post No. 14, G. A. R., and served for four years in the One Hundred and Fourteenth invantry. For three years he was stationed at Vicksburg and took part in the seige of that city.
