SPRINGFIELD - Shirley T. (Demers) Bihler, 74, of Springfield, died on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Baystate Medical Center in Spring-field. She was born on April 13, 1936 in Springfield and was a life-long resident. Shirley was the daughter of the late William and Eva (Fournier) Demers. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church and a graduate of Sacred Heart School. Shirley was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and was a fantastic cook. She is predeceased by her three brothers, Theodore Demers, Leonard Demers and William Demers. Shirley is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Armand R. Bihler; three sons, Kurt Bihler and David Bihler, both of East Longmeadow and Eugene Bihler of Chicopee; two daughters, Karen Rossini of Springfield and Pamela Lamson of Somers, CT; a sister, Doris Ott of California; twelve grandchildren, Kevin Lamson, Darrel Lamson, Heather Lamson, Mark Rossini, Andrea Rossini, Krista Ginsberg, Amanda Bihler, Nicole Bihler, Aimee Bihler, Kurt Bihler, Julia Bihler and Christopher Bihler and three great grandchildren, Giada Riberio, Emma Ginsberg and Caden Ginsberg. At Shirley's request, her funeral will be private. Her burial will be at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. There are no calling hours.
