Comments: He was a voluntary Hussar (cavalry) in the Mecklenbutg-Strelitz Hussar regiment (horseback), witnessed by his comrades for his great courage, especially during the bloody battle at La Chaussee, where he rescued one of his comrades, namely the Chaussee inspector Muller, during the battle with the enemy, even though he had been severely wounded himself in fighting.
