Resident, dies
The funeral service for Karl
Kirschenman, 80, long-time res-
ident of the Alpena area, will
be held Thursday at Puyallup,
Wash. Burial will be in the
Puyallup Cemetery.
Kirschenman died in a Puyall-
up rest home Monday following
a year's illness.
He farmed five miles north
of Alpena until his retirement
in 1937 when he moved to Cali-
fornia and later to Washington
state.
He was preceded in death by
his wife and one daughter. Sur-
viving are six sons and six
daughters including Mrs. H.
Kiesby of Huron, Alvin of Yank-
ton and Leon of Adrian, N. D.
