Anthony "Tony" H. Funke, 93, formerly of Ryan, (Iowa) died Saturday morning, Oct. 5, 2002, in the Edgewood Convalescent Home after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Ryan, by the Rev. Monsignor Richard Funke and the Rev. Dennis Miller. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, rural Ryan. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester.
Tony will be missed by six children, the Rev. Monsignor Richard P. Funke of Dubuque, Marjean (Merlyn) Havertape of Manchester, Lloyd J. (Constance J.) Funke of Manchester, Thomas L. (Rose Mary) Funke of Manchester, Robert A. (Rosalie N.) Funke of Bishop Hill, Ill., and Barbara A. (Steven J.) Hackbarth of Manchester; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great- grandchildren.
