"ELDRIDGE WOMAN
CELEBRATES HER
84TH NATAL DAY
Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Mrs. Mary Wiese gathered at the home today to celebrate the 84th birthday anniversary of the pioneer resident and beloved woman of this community. The family gathering has been an annual event for many years and this year's gathering was one of the largest and most enjoyable of many years.
Mrs. Wiese was born in Germany Nov. 12, 1841, but has spent the greater part of her life in Scott county where she reared her family of nine children. Eight of the family are living. Mrs. Wiese is enjoying good health that as always in a great measure has been her portion. Her loveable personality and interest in life has endeared her to a wide circle of admiring friends who will delight in showering her with their good wishes and rememberances.
Mrs. Wiese now resides with her daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Eckermann, who came to live with her several years ago."
