For more than 50 years she has lived as a true and consistent Christian, murmuring not amid the intense suffering of years, caused by stomach trouble terminating in cancer causing her death Nov 30, 1893.
She was the mother of Comrades John and Zerah Hurd. Several years since they to this state making their home with her son, John Hurd, where kind hears and hands have ever ministered to their wants.
The funeral services were held from their home Dec 1st, 1893.
Interment at the Cooper cemetery and conducted by the writer.
