Earl was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nellie M. Kreider, who passed away in 1902, and Mrs. Irma Sarah Kreider Hoffmann of Springfield, Ohio, who died in 1949, and a favorite nephew, John Frederick Hoffmann of Atlanta, Ga, who died in 1965.
He is survived by his wife Rose; two sons, Paul, Springfield, Ohio and John, Elmhurst, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Kermit (Lois) Shoaf, Boca Raton, (FL), and Mrs. Svend (Rhoda) Christiansen, Prince Edward Island, Canada; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the R. Jay Kraeer Funeral Home, Boca Raton. The Rev. Svend Christiansen and the Rev. Neil McCaulay will officiate. Interment will be in the Boca Raton Cemetery. The family asks that contributions be made to the New Life Missions, 346 E. Palmetto Park Rd.
