1935-2011

Randall Norman Hass, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 01, 2011 at the Golden Living Center Portage, IN.
He was born on September 22, 1935 in Liberty Twp, IN to Ludwig and Marguerite (Hockelberg) Hass who preceded him in death.
Randall retired from U.S. Steel in 2002 and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Portage and the United Steel Workers Union. Randall was an avid Red Sox fan and loved playing pinochle.
He is survived by his loving wife Pamela (Payne) Hass of Valparaiso; son, Jeffrey (Nora) Hass of Naperville, IL; daughter, Julie Hass of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers: Lewis Hass of Valparaiso, Richard Hass of Lake Station, three grandchildren: Alexandra Hass, Joshua Hass, and Emily McMurphy.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6540 Central Ave., Portage, IN with Frederick Hoover officiating.
Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at St. Peter Lutheran Church. In Lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to the American Heart Association or St. Peter Lutheran Church Building Fund.
