Mary Katharine (Kolb) Kehm of Lafayette died at her home on Saturday, Oct. 30, 1993. She was 89. She was born in Liebow, Volga Colony, Russia on October 13, 1904, the daughter of Mary Nickel and Peter Kolb. She came to the United States on Easter Sunday in 1907. Her family homestead in Laurel, Montana, until 1921 when they moved to the Denver area.
She married Alexander Kehm in Denver on February 21, 1922. He died in 1944.
She was a homemaker. She was Past President of VFW Auxiliary Post 1771 in Lafayette and was den mother for the Boy Scouts.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, William, Henry and Pete; two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by four sons, Alexander Kehm Jr. of Lafayette, David Kehm of Denver, George Kehm of Salem, OR, and John Kehm of Lebanon, OR; two daughters, Katherine Colard and Mary Louise Colard of Lyons; a brother, Mike Kolb of Denver; a sister, Christine Nielsen of Denver; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
