Oscar L. Hufnagel
Camp Point, Ill., June 6.--Oscar L. Hufnagel, 78, prominent retired farmer,died in Blessing hospital at Quincy Wednesday morning at 10:46 o'clock. He had been a paitent in the hospital in serious condition since May 9. Funeral services wll be held in the Bower funeral home here at 2:30 o'clock C. S. T. Friday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Melvin Fiscus of the Camp Point Christian church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Hufnagel was born at Columbus Sept. 28, 1867, the son of Fred and Rachel Marshall Hufnagel, and spent his entire life in Coumbus township and Camp Point. He attended township schools and was a member of the Christian church and Benjamin Lasonic Lodge here. He was married to Miss Lora E. Strickler on Sept. 25, 1890.
Surviving are the widow; three children, Mrs. H. A. Shultz of Liberty, Fred J. Hufnagel of Clayton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and one brother, Albert E. Hufnagel of Camp Point. Four sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
