Grace Evelyn Johnson was born June 5, 1908, in Marshall, Minn., the daughter of Joseph and Elsa Johnson. She lived in Ross Township, Roseau County, Minn., attended Badger schools, attended teachers college and taught rural school in Roseau County.
She married Clifford Hagen June 12, 1929. They farmed in Stokes Township, Roseau County, until 1958, then moved to Roseau, where she was a licensed practical nurse at the Roseau Area Hospital.
Survivors are her son, LuVerne, Badger; daughter, Lois Erickson, Stockton, Calif., Lila (Mrs. Mike) Hastings, Auburn, Calif., and Jeannie (Mrs. Jon) Bode, San Francisco; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Clara Lamb, Minneapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; one sister; and two brothers.
