NEW ROCKFORD Johanna "Jennie" Ripplinger, 99, New Rockford, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, in a New Rockford nursing home.

She was born July 16, 1911, to Jacob and Josephine Wolfe, near Rugby. She married Chris Ripplinger on Sept. 16, 1930, in Balta.
Jennie and Chris farmed all their life near Balta, Esmond, and New Rockford N.D. After retiring from farming they moved to New Rockford ND where Jennie cooked for the Lutheran Home for many years.


Survivors: sons, Daniel, Highland Ranch, Colo., Richard, Fargo, Stanley, of New Rockford; daughter, Cindy Johnson, New Rockford; one sister Monica Witt. 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 7 brothers, 7 sisters and one grandson.

Funeral: Friday, 2 p.m., St. John's Catholic Church, New Rockford.

Burial: St. John's Cemetery, New Rockford.
