Hector Manuel Vazquez, 76, born April 6, 1934 in Corozal, Puerto Rico, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 in Orange Park, FL. Hector is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Tina; 9 children, Hector, Maria, Estela, Christina, Ivan (deceased), Milagros, Orlando, Eduardo, Gabriel and their spouses; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He honorably served 23 years in the US Army retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. He enjoyed his active membership in Sacred Heart Catholic Church and playing golf and dominos with his dear friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM, Prayer Service at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 14, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5752 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
