He was born at Aurich, Oldendorf, Oestfriesland, Germany and died at Barneston, Gage, NE.
he married Jan. 10, 1877, near Humboldt, NE. to Fantje Harmina Saathoff (Fannie) His obt.
Mann Trauernicht, one of the early settlers of Gage county passed away at his home southeast of this city Thursday following a brief illness. age 85 years.
While Mr. Trauernicht had been in poor health for several months his condition was not considered serious.
His wife passed away several years ago.
He leaves t mourn his passing seven children they are Miss Matie Trauernicht, Tom, Herman, Fred, Will, John and Menn, a brother John Trauernicht of this city and a sister who resides in Falls City, Ne.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home and at the Lutheran Church west of Barneston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
NOTE: He came to America in April of 1865, with his parens. His wife came to America with her parens in 1875. married and moved to Craig, MO. aand then to Wymore, Ne. They celebrated their 50 wedding anniversary in 1927 at Barnseston, NE.
