Vincent F. Imdieke, age 98 of Meire Grove, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 12 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev. Tom Becker officiating and Rev. Ken Thielman concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Vincent Frank Imdieke was born June 8, 1912 in Grove Township, Stearns County to Henry and Barbara (Van Beck) Imdieke. He was united in marriage to Hildegard Herkenhoff on October 4, 1939 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in St. Rosa. The couple farmed near the Melrose area for many years. In 1973 Vincent retired and continued to help his son on the family farm. He enjoyed driving around to look at crops, playing cards, and going to Charlie's Cafe for dinner specials.

Vincent was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove, St. Joseph's Men's Society and the St. John's Catholic Aid.

Survivors include his children, Judy (Sylvester) Welle of Spring Hill, Barb Rieland of New Munich, Norine Lieser of St. Martin, Daniel (Kathy) Imdieke of Sauk Centre, Sylvia (Ralph) Lieser of Cold Spring, Rosie Hammond of Vadnais Heights, and Jerry (Sharon) Imdieke of Melrose; 27 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony (Lorraine) Imdieke of Melrose; sisters-in-law, Pauline Imdieke of Melrose and Mayme Imdieke of Greenwald.

Vincent was preceded in death by his wife, Hildegard Imdieke on April 15, 2001; parents; brothers, Edward and Raymond Imdieke; infant twins, Joseph and Mary Imdieke; sons-in-law, Joey Lieser and Giles "Dick" Rieland.

Serving as casket bearers will be Keith Lieser, Roger Rieland, Luke Rieland, Craig Lieser, John Welle, Matt Imdieke, Scott Imdieke, and Jeron Lieser. Cross bearer will be Jacob Imdieke and scripture bearer will be Mark Welle. Mass servers will be Michael and Matthew Schlangen. Gift bearers will be Lori Braegelmann, Aimee Imdieke and Tina Burbach. Eucharistic Minister will be Joanie Imdieke. Readers will be Karla Lauer and Doug Lieser. The eulogy will be read by Karla Lauer. Honorary bearers will be the St. Joseph's Men's Society.
