WELL KNOWN RESIDENT DIED WEDNESDAY

Otto Hoevel, of 2167 C street, died at his home Wednesday, December 4, after an extended illiness with complicated diseases. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the residence, the services being in charge of Granite City Lodge No. 877, A.F. & A.M., of which he was a member. He also belonged to the Shriners, Knight Templar and the B.P.O. Elks. Interment will be in Bellefontaine cemetery St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Robert Hoevel.
The deceased has been a resident of this city for the past eighteen years and has been in the employ of the National Enameling and Stamping Co. during that time. He held the position of superintendent of the shipping department at the Grantie City Steel Works at the time of his death.
