Marilyn J. Hamilton, 73, of Muncie, passed away Sunday at Reid Hospital in Richmond.
She was born in Muncie to Lake LaVon and Mildred (Crago) Deane. Marilyn graduated from Muncie Central High School and received a bachelor degree from Ball State University. She liked to work with under privileged families and children.
Survivors include five sons, Richard Hamilton, Robert Michael Hamilton, Aubrey Carl Hamilton (wife-Donna), Keith Hamilton (wife-LoRinda), and Kevin Hamilton (wife-Bonnie); six daughters, Cheryl Rittenhouse, Joyce Bales, Sonja Vollmar (husband-Mark), Darci Zickuhr (husband-Michael), Nancy Hamilton, and Marianne Fields; two brothers, Tom Deane (wife-Debbie) and Phil Deane; five sisters, Dorothy West (husband-Wayne), Phyllis Wilkinson, Nancy Hunter, Janet Tobolski (husband-Al), and Donna Holt (husband-Don); a brother-in-law, Pete Lennington; 30 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lake LaVon and Mildred Deane; daughter, Andrea Hamilton; brother, Richard (Dick) Deane; and sister, Joyce Ann (Deane) Lennington.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2300 W. Jackson St., Muncie, with Father Andred Dudzinski, who will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
There will be a dinner served at the church following the burial.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the Mass.
Parson Mortuary is in charge of services.
