Kelly Rose Miller, 13 of Mead Avenue, Corry, died Wednesday, August 21, 2002 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.
She was born June 29, 1989 in Tenants Harbor, Maine, daughter of Larry M. and Donna M. Moore Miller of Corry.
She moved to Corry with her family in 1992. She attended St Thomas School and Wright Elementary School and was entering seventh grade at Corry Area Middle High School. She was to play on the girls' basketball team. She received the President's Educational Excellence Award, the Music Achievement Certificate and the Art Achievement Certificate. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and traveling to Maine on family vacations. She was a member of St Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Corry. She played basketball, softball, soccer and was an avid swimmer.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John R Moore; and by her paternal grandparents, Cecil and Gertrude Miller.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Jennifer E Baron and her husband, Jay of Columbus, Pa., and Sara E Turcotte of Corry; three brothers, Matthew M Turcotte of Corry, Chad R Miller of Concord, New Hampshire and Jeremey A Miller and his wife, Kandace, of Concord; her maternal grandmother, Mary E Moore of Latham, New York, a niece, Kathleen Baron of Columbus, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N Center Street, Corry from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Friday. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am Saturday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St Thomas the Apostle Church, with the Rev. Thomas E Brown officiating.
Burial will be at St Elizabeth Cemetery in Corry.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kelly R Miller Memorial Fund, in care of Bracken Funeral Home, Inc. 315 North Center Street, Corry, Pa 17407.
