Rev. Matthew Hanna was the son of Isaac and Sarah (Bosley) Hanna, Jr. He was the husband of Nancy Ann Hanna. They were married in 1840 and she died September 14, 1885. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Erie Conference at organization 1836 Discontinued 1837 Genesee (now Western New York) Conference 1837 F 1839 Readmitted Genesee Conference 1841 Located 1847 Readmitted Rock River Conference 1857. He served Millport, Chemung Co., Seneca Lake District, New York 1845-1846.
