Rites Tuesday for Mrs. James Hansen

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the First Lutheran Church in Litchville for Mrs. James Hansen. Rev. E. Kristensen preached the funeral sermon.

Mrs. Bernt Christianson sang "Near to The Heart" accompanied by Miss Connie Kristensen.

Burial was made in St. Thomas cemetery. Pallbearers were John A. Olson, Theo. Neuman, H.B. Offerdahl, John Larsen, Alfred Ellison, Lewis Rockswold.

Arrangements were made by the Hub Peterson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hansen passed away Thursday June 7th at 10:45 a. m. She had been in poor health in recent weeks, and has been in and out of the hospital.

Mrs. Hansen was born at Grove City, Minn., May 14, 1892, her maiden name being Nellie Linn. She came to North Dakota in 1908 and she and James Hansen were united in marriage at Moorhead, Minn., July 26, 1910. They located in Litchville community where they farmed and later lived in town, being here ever since her marriage.

She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband James Hansen, and the following children; Erwin Hansen, Newberg, Mich.; Mrs. Clarence (Josephine) Salberg, Litchville; Doris Hansen, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Eldridge (Rose) Norum, Litchville; Mrs. Paul (Mildred) Hilscher, Litchville; Ralein Hansen, Litchville; Mrs. Art (Beatrice) Johnson, Valley City; two brothers, Nels Linn, Litchville and John Linn, Plymouth, Iowa.

One son, James, died in 1918 at the age of 8 months.

We extend sincere sympathy to the James Hansen family in the loss of his wife and their mother.

Those attending from a distance were: Mrs. Peder Knudsen, Myrtle, Albert, Arthur Knudsen, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Knudsen, all of Marion; Mrs. Inga Hansen, Fargo; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Belling, Fargo; Mrs. George Anderson, Kathryn; Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Hansen, Absaraka; Mrs. Renee Otis, Seattle; Mrs. Willie Johnson, Valley City, Lester Johnson, Valley City, Helmer Johnson, Valley City, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Shockman and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olson, Berlin.
