The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, with Masonic rites to be given afterward by Columbian Masonic Lodge No. 7 F&AM, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary's Macon Road Chapel.
Mr. Hoyle was born Dec. 19, 1901, in Columbus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Browder Hoyle. He had lived in Columbus most of his life and was a retired Army master sergeant. He was a quartermaster at Fort Benning in civil service and was a member of Benning Park Baptist Church. He also was a member of Columbian lodge 7 and Scottish Rites.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie B.; two sons, Billy L. and William Wayne, Jr., both of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Loyce E. Hearn of Kansas City, Kan.; three sisters, Mrs. Vashti Yarborough, Mrs. Millie Fisher, both of Columbus, and Mrs. Adelle Bishop of Phenix City; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. per: Lois Goodin Hottinger 46803720
